TyLoo have booked their spot at IEM Katowice 2018 after defeating MVP PK 3-0 in the Asia closed qualifier. The six-team closed qualifier saw TYLOO take on MVP PK for a place at the next Intel Extreme Masters event. Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand and his teammates came from the upper bracket, meaning that they would only need to win two maps to qualify for Katowice. The grand final, a rematch of the Upper Bracket semi-finals, which TYLOO won 2-1, began on Cobblestone, which proved to be a one-sided affair as the Koreans found themselves trailing their opponents 12-3 at the end of the first half and only managed to pick up one round after switching to the CT side. Inferno, on the other hand, was much more keenly-contested, with the first half ending with a close 8-7 advantage for MVP PK. TYLOO came from the break with all guns blazing, winning eight rounds in a row without response to hit match point. The Koreans still tried to get back into the game, but the deficit was too big to come back from, with the Chinese side eventually locking down the map, 16-11, to book their place at IEM Katowice.
